I run a public transportation system by day and build systems the rest of the time. This page is the whole picture.
The day job
I'm the Administrator & CEO of the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. MART runs fixed-route buses, paratransit, and microtransit for the Montachusett region — and alongside that, I oversee the statewide Human Service Transportation brokerage, one of the largest coordinated transportation programs in Massachusetts, connecting MassHealth members to medical care through a network of transportation providers across the Commonwealth.
In practice that means operations, finance, compliance, technology, vendor networks, and public accountability — answerable to a board, to municipalities, and to state agencies. I'm a systems thinker, not a silo manager: the job is connecting operations, data, people, policy, and technology into one integrated view, and building teams that are trusted, supported, and held to a high standard.
How I got here
I came up operations-first in the private sector — starting as an intern at a national market research firm in Fitchburg and working my way to Chief Operating Officer over eight years. In 2021 I moved to public service to lead the Commonwealth's largest HST brokerage as Executive Director, and in 2026 the MART board appointed me Administrator & CEO. The builder half
Outside the authority, I build things — some digital, most not. I run my work and home life through an AI second brain I built: a system that reads the inbox, files the paperwork, and leaves me the decisions. On the land it's garden and grow systems, a tractor with too many implements, and long-term home infrastructure. Same discipline either way: clear systems, built to hold up, improved a season at a time.
I'm also the founder of Common Ground Grow Co., a company I'm building around outdoor grow systems and practical self-reliance.
The point of it all
I'm a husband and a father of two boys. The rest of this — the career, the systems, the land — is in service of building a stable, capable, meaningful life for them. We hunt and fish as a family; I'd rather fill the freezer ourselves than not know where dinner came from, and I'd rather my sons learn to build, fix, and grow things than watch someone else do it.
